The Ngaka Modiri Molema District Cluster One, under the leadership of Circuit Coordinator Mr. J.C. Muhloyo, held a two-day roadshow with school principals and SGB chairpersons. On this particular day, the roadshow was held at Mafikeng Primary School for the Ratlou and Tswaing Local Education Offices.
The aim of the roadshow is to ensure that the district overcomes challenges faced at schools, such as the wellness of officials in schools, challenges in finance, and infrastructure issues, with the hope that after addressing these challenges, they will be able to prioritize the foundation of all learners within the district and ensure that education is not compromised by any means. With this aim, principals and SGBs can work together in harmony and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders whose missions are intertwined with that of the district, ultimately ensuring that they make their schools centers of excellence.
The roadshow included presentations from NASGB by Mr. Leburu, SAPA by Mr. Mpomela, IGSS by Mr. Molefi, Corporate Support Services by Mr. Thale, District Learner Support by Mr. Digoamaje, and Human Resource Management by Mr. Modiria. The attendees were given a platform to ask questions and interact with the presenters.
In her keynote address, the acting District Director, Ms. M.E. Lesetedi, appreciated all stakeholders for their contributions to the 2024 NSC results and provided the marching orders for 2025. Principals and SGBs were encouraged to work hard and, by all means, assist the department in eliminating or reducing the number of underperforming schools.
