The Life Skills HIV and AIDS Programme aims to create a healthy school environment by promoting the health and wellbeing of learners, by addressing key health and social barriers to learning in order to promote effective teaching and learning. The programme is funded through conditional grant in accordance to DORA.
FUNCTIONS OF LIFE SKILLS HIV AND AIDS PROGRAMME
- Facilitate care and support programme
- Establish and facilitate peer education programmes
- Coordinate Integrated School Health Programme (ISHP)
- Prevention of learner pregnancy, HIV and STIs
- Conduct advocacy and social mobilization in order to raise awareness
- Facilitate Sanitary Dignity Programme
- Provision of quality Comprehensice Sexuality Education (CSE)
- Provision of SRH Services
