The North West Department of Education is pleased to announce the successful completion of the 2026 Provincial General Education and Training (GET) and Further Education and Training (FET) School-Based Assessment (SBA) Moderation.

The moderation was conducted at Rustenburg Hoërskool from 26 June to 5 July 2026.

The process involved the moderation of sampled schools across all four districts and focused on selected subjects in the GET and FET phases. The main objective was to strengthen the quality, fairness, and credibility of School-Based Assessment, and to ensure that assessment practices are aligned with both provincial and national policy requirements.

The Department extends its sincere appreciation to district officials, subject advisors, school management teams, teachers, and all stakeholders whose dedication and professionalism contributed to the success of this exercise. Their commitment continues to support quality teaching, learning, and assessment in the province.
