Makgori Village – The MEC for Education in the North West, Viola Motsumi, today conducted an oversight visit at Makgori Primary School on Tuesday, 28 July 2026. As part of the visit, MEC Motsumi also met with the Makgori Tribal Authority to officially hand over the appointed contractor responsible for the building and renovation of Makgori Primary School.

The R6.7 million, 6-month project will include:
Construction of 6 new classrooms, Additions to current blocks, Renovation of 2 existing blocks, Refurbishment of toilets and kitchen, Earthworks and walkways, General maintenance.

MEC Motsumi emphasized that the project will address overcrowding, improve the learning environment, and ensure safe and dignified facilities for learners and educators.
